Internship opportunity at The Art Loss Register, starting ca mid-February 2019 and ongoing
The Art Loss Register in London is looking for an intern to support the provenance research department from mid-February. The internship would include work in due diligence and on research projects related to the dispossession of art and cultural objects due to Nazi persecution and WWII. Support the ALR’s provenance research team during the international spring auction season 2019 and assist in due diligence for Art Fairs (TEFAF Maastricht, Art Cologne, TEFAF New York Spring). It is a three months full-time internship at our office in London.
The Art Loss Register is the world’s largest private database of lost and stolen art, antiques and collectables. Its range of services include the registration of losses, due diligence searching and recovery services to the art trade, museums, insurers and worldwide law enforcement agencies (such as FBI and the Carabinieri). Requirements
- Some knowledge in provenance research
- Interest in the international art trade
- Good level of English
- Excellent knowledge of German
- Keen team worker adept at working in a young and international environment
