"Against Trumpism: The Art of Protest in the age of post-truth politics”
The
Chair of Theory and History of Architecture, Art and Design invites to a curatorial talk, hosted by Dr. Sarah Hegenbart.
Stephanie Weber and Sebastian Schneider, curators of the "After the Fact" exhibition at Lenbachhaus,
will be in conversation at TUM to discuss "Against Trumpism: The Art of Protest in the age of post-truth politics".
Artists have played a pivotal role in forming opposition to dominant political systems. We will focus on art interventions from 'Occupy Wall Street' to protest art in the era of Trump. This will involve a discussion of what differentiates protest art from non-artistic forms of political activism, and what contribution the former can make in relation to the latter.
When
18.01.18, 11.30 am
Where
Chair of Theory and History of Architecture, Art and Design
TUM Department of Architecture
Gabelsberger Str. 49 (4th floor)
