The Getty Foundation is pleased to announce the second year of the
Getty/ACLS Postdoctoral Fellowships in the History of Art.
These fellowships are intended to support an academic year of research
and/or writing by early career scholars from around the world for a
project that will make a substantial and original contribution to the
understanding of art and its history.
ACLS
will award 10 fellowships, each with a stipend of $60,000, plus $5,000
for research and travel during the award period. Awards also will
include a one-week residence at the Getty
Research Institute following the fellowship period.
There are no restrictions in terms of field specialization within art
history or visual studies or with regard to nationality, but candidates
must be within 6 years of receiving the PhD at the start of the
fellowship.
